ABOUT US

The roots of Brimmer Street Theatre Company are firmly planted in the soil of Emerson College in Boston. After graduation, several alums moved to Los Angeles and led self-taught acting classes to further their skills and training that began on the east coast. Following months of classes held in their own apartments, the group found a home at Studio A, a dance studio in Los Feliz.

Soon after, a core group of ten members teamed up with New Renaissance, a sister company, to produce their first production, Severance. Following on the heels of the show's successful run, Brimmer Street Theatre Company incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in order to better serve the community and its donors. The BSTC continues to work with the community to build better theatre in Los Angeles.

Brimmer Street Theatre Company is a non-profit Los Angeles-based performance company with a commitment to develop original theatre, breathe life into the classics, and welcome artists whose work challenges established forms and expectations.

The BSTC strives to form a close ensemble of these artists, craftsmen, students and benefactors to produce work of exceptional innovation and character.
